The Beauty of a Wildflower
The Beauty of a Wildflower was written for and about the reader. It’s as if you are talking about yourself when you are reading it. We are all wildflowers growing but not grown, we are all beautiful. The poem is meant to spread the message about beauty, the beauty in all of us really.
My City is Silent Tonight
My City is Silent Tonight is a poem about hyper-violence. A true story made into art, it is the very story of every minority who has experienced this quality of life. The poem sets the stage in a NY Housing building and each step the victim takes is another prayer for the people left in this life. Living in the city we all know that the city never sleeps, sit quietly in your home with the window open and listen to the heart of the city which are the sirens, the people the trains and buses, its road rage, its screams and whispers at the time. The city is never silent but for those few moments when we lose another life, the city is silent for that moment in time.

Caged Bird
Caged Bird is a poem about oppression and being trapped. The character in this poem dreams for a different life, for a way out. Overwhelmed by potential and not knowing what to do or where to go she chooses to do nothing but dream. Not putting use of the beauty and potential that she has she is oppressed and it is that very oppression that keeps her locked up in her cage. She has the key to her freedom, but does not leave.
Worthlessness
Worthlessness is a poem about heart break. It truly speaks for itself. We've all been through a heart break in one form or another. The character in the poem is writing to her partner, finding the words to say in writing rather then speaking them.
Thoughts
Thoughts is a poem written in a man perspective to a woman that he loves. Just an example of what I like to call Ghost poetry. A piece that I wrote based on another persons emotion.
You're Beautiful
You're Beautiful was written with my friends in mind but really it is about every person on earth. Finding beauty in the not so obvious way, I think is more appealing; like a diamond in a rough.
The Snake
The Snake is definitely a different piece written in my adolescence. It is about a girl who is telling the boy she just betrayed that she should of warned him about what she would do inevitably to him. But beware the dark character that she portrays isn't necessarily because she is bad or evil maybe just misunderstood, and bruised along the way. They say we are product of our own experiences and heartbreak. So you have to question, does she do what was done to her?
A Dying Love Story
This piece is a special one, a true sort of short story written as poetry. It is a piece I wrote about my own dying love story.
Masterpiece
This piece was written one very early morning about full figured women. The beauty that they posses, beauty that they aren't aware of because of today's European standard of beauty.
Her Bestfriend
This piece was written about a man who falls in love with a woman who doesn't necessarily share the same interest in him as he does in her. She loves him but more as a friend than a lover. A lot of us have heard or witness a situation like this. The man faithfully sticks by her side and will be whatever she needs him to be: a friend, brother, father, therapist, lover. In this case they are best friends and what a tragic love story to love and not to be loved.
Wouldn't we all be luckier if we can visit the past and warn our selves how to cope or how to be strong, it would certainly make life easier. This piece is about a person wanting to save her/himself from the things she/he will go through in the future.
